36. Happy Birthday, Grandpa Griff!

The birthday week continues!

Usually, because my parents live so near by, we are able to go to their house (and eat raw oysters--well, the rest of them eat raw oysters) for my dad's birthday. This year we are busy packing, packing, packing. So, instead...

35. Finger food

Bea has finally nailed the whole pincer grip thing and can now pick food up and put it in her mouth--with either hand! She has tried little bits of toast, Cheerios, and, my favorite (because it seems to pose the smallest choking risk), cubes of soft tofu crusted in crushed Cheerios. This is surpisingly un-gross. I tried it.

The first movie and photo feature our tiny tofu friends...

The last movie features Cheerios (which I am now breaking in half because the whole ones still make me a bit nervous).

33. Beatrice discovers tools (and music)

Bea doesn't want to work; she wants to bang on the drums (or weird clown) all day...

30. Bouncing 2: Electric Boogaloo

Grandma Fox has been wanting to get Bea a bouncy seat (or, a "jumparoo" as the product calls itself). We haven't wanted to live with such an ugly thing in our midst, and we've read mixed reviews about their effect on the little ones (too much time in them=bad). But we broke down and let Grandma Fox have her way. I am glad we did. Bea LOVES it. See the movie...
